Fun story: my now ex wife used to have two gay men as neighbors. When they where at it they made one hell of a noice, screaming and generally seemed to have a great time. Finally my now ex wife had enough and walked over and knocked on the door and there was no answer.

So she left a note and walked to her flat again. The next day she had a note from them apologizing avout the noice and that they hadn't answered the door when she knocked. Turns out they where both completely deaf and had no idea how loud they where. Nice blokes, I know some basic sign language and met them a few times.
